What’s the story?
Synopsis
Five sisters meet after a long time without seeing each other for the Christmas reunion. Between glasses of wine and the preparation of the supper, they catch up on their lives while waiting for their father. Each one of them, with their different personalities, tries to find harmony so that the night is lived in a fun way and they can abstract themselves from the problems of everyday life. They take advantage of this time of year to remember that the most important thing is to have each other and have a good time.
Year: 2021
What’s the project?
Nochebuena is a heartfelt short comedy that celebrates women being women, naturally, without exaggeration or objectification. The film follows five sisters reuniting for Christmas after a long time apart. Amid glasses of wine and the preparation of the festive supper, they catch up on their lives, navigate their different personalities, and try to find harmony for the night. Through laughter, small tensions, and shared memories, the sisters remind themselves that the most important thing is having each other and enjoying the moment together.
The project was born from a desire to tell feminine stories in cinema in a fluid and authentic way, placing women at the center of a narrative about women, capturing the diversity of personalities and relationships without artifice.

The collective focused on bringing artists together in virtual conversations during 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, fostering connections and collaboration. From this initiative, they created a project (a Film Letter), exploring the immigrant experience, which brought together a team of Brazilian women living in Europe and culminated in the filming of the short in Portugal after COVID restrictions eased.
Anna has received multiple Best Film awards at various international film festivals for different projects, highlighting her talent and recognition across a wide range of creative works.
